Un/orthodox is a body of work, created in first semester of second year, designed as part of a studio looking into avant-garde methods of tailoring. Inspiration was taken from modular and utilitarian garments and bags, using a balance of orthodox and unorthodox methods of tailoring in the aim of creating something unique

Ephemeral Ebb
15-18/05/2026
I independently curated and delivered Ephemeral Ebb, an immersive exhibition presented as part of the 2026 Melbourne Design Week program. Ephemeral Ebb was a mixed-media showcase presenting work by Australian designers exploring material change and process. Bringing together furniture, objects and textile pieces that blended form and function, the exhibition reflected on transience and transformation through eroded surfaces, precarious forms and material tensions.
Foregrounding thoughtful practice, Ephemeral Ebb brought together works by eight designers working across clay, glass, textile and aluminium. Sensory elements of taste, scent and sound augmented the display, creating an immersive experience. Weaving an otherworldly narrative that evoked both life and decay, the exhibition invited audiences to engage critically and creatively with their relationship to nature and to consider the evolving future of Australian design. The show included a Kirinuku ceramic workshop by Kayleigh Heydon; a soundscape designed for the space by composer Mara Schwerdtfeger, entitled Voice Note; an edible display by Lavinia Kailis, inspired by a Dutch 17th-century banquet still-life painting, highlighting the ephemeral act of eating including a menu written on ricepaper using an ink made from wine; floral displays by Xflos, presented in a state of decomposition, using carnivorous plants alongside orchids; a hand-embroidered silk curtain that caressed your face as you entered the space; warm and delicate lighting by Tazmyn Slicer; and a scent sprayed on the brochure called Petrichor Plains by Mihan Aromatics, evoking the distinct, earthy smell of rain falling on dry soil. Derived from the Greek words petra, meaning stone, and ichor, the ethereal golden fluid said to flow in the veins of the Greek gods, it is poetically referred to as the blood of the stone.
I secured sponsorship funding from NEUW, a local retail company, as well as sponsored products from Melbourne perfumery, Mihan Aromatics.
Designers exhibited include Annie Paxton, Kayleigh Heydon, Laura de Carteret, Lotte Schwerdtfeger, Matea Gluščević, Nina Wright, Saturday Yard Work and Sundance Studio.

001Pop Up
02-03/04/2022
I co-produced 001 POP UP, a curated large-scale design market held at the Abbotsford Convent’s North Magdalen Laundry in 2022. The event celebrated and supported the local creative community by bringing together more than thirty designers to showcase and sell their work. Our collective secured grant funding from Creative Victoria and Regional Arts Victoria for this project. The market also featured installations, live performances, an abstract runway show, performance, visual art, fashion, food, and licensed beverages.
